Advanced
Especially high kicks are a trademark of classic Taekwon-Do. The power for these high techniques originates in the center of the body, the underbelly (hapuk po). Whenever possible, kicks should be trained above head height. When someone is capable to enfold the energy up there, his techniques will have devastating impact when practiced with body height. Event longer distances or higher targets can be achieved by jumping techniques. One should also be aware that a foot-technique enfolds three times more power than hand-techniques. To learn the right technique takes time, quickly learnt is quickly lost. The slowly, continuous and correct learning will lead to the right technique and success in the long run.
